some people
are so stubborn
they'll refuse
with the stubbornness
of a mule
to be
any less stupid
than the blood and guts
of stupid
they
already are

it's an age-old question
a riddle
which comes first
the stubborn
or the stupid?

my money's on the stubborn
cause i've seen 
the plain dumb
learn from their mistakes
but the stubborn
who can be smart
i've seen them
stubborn themselves
all the way down
to the tar pit
of their own
utter 
indefensible
stupidity
