the psychenaut offered the hillbilly snake handler a tab of acid explaining how he'd see and experience things never seen or felt before though spiritually inclined much like the psychenaut the hillbilly snake handler declined the psychenaut assured the snake handler there was no reason to fear the psychedelic experience simply because it was something bizarre and unknown assuring the snake handler the psychedelic would bring him closer to understanding god whatever god is but the snake handler still declined being conservative and afraid of his reaction afraid of who and what he might return as following the psychedelic journey the snake handler instead offered the psychenaut a bundle of poisonous hissing serpents and invited him into the rapture of the snake handling experience explaining how he'd see and experience things never seen or felt before the snake handler explained there was no reason to fear the rapture from snake handling simply because it was something bizarre and unknown explaining how the fist full of snakes would bring the psychenaut closer to understanding god whatever god is but the psychenaut declined too conceding to a conservatism he never imagined he possessed too afraid of his reaction too afraid of who and what he might return as following the rapture or poisoning from the snake handling experience
