The Passive Approach

i chose
the passive approach
for getting a job
accepting
what most easily
fell
in my lap

my passivity
in choosing a job
gave me one
i disliked
but like
any other job
i tolerated it
since the toil
and drudgery
at least
paid
the bills

the job paid
and i rarely spent
so over time
the job
i disliked
rewarded me
with enough money
for a nice car
and a nice
home

what i learned
from the passive approach
for getting a job
is it rewards
with things
like new cars
and nice homes

so when my passivity
in everything else
leads to zero rewards
i know
it's got to be the fault
of everything else
instead of my passivity
which
in and of itself
has been proven
to reward
