When Nobody Cares

there are moments
sometimes
when i wish
for a little empathy
and to be understood

these cursed
vacant moments
consumed
by terror and dread
when i realize
nobody
really
cares

then
there are moments
sometimes
when i feel
too weary
to care
about what anyone thinks
about my failures
and my pestering shames

these blessed
vacant moments
consumed
by bliss and euphoria
when i realize
nobody
really
cares
