we evolve for better or worse we become smarter and stronger by slowing our deaths and suicides with things like cigarettes yet we devolve too by submitting to being too weak to see a character in a film smoking a cigarette without a warning at the beginning just when it seems we make progress we digress becoming infantile and stupid in some other pathetically weak backsliding way
